The stock transmission and torque converter were designed to handle the output of the stock engine, but not much more. Increase the durability of your drivetrain with a BD transmission and torque converter. BD's transmissions incorporate revised oil circuits, extra clutches and stronger internals to handle more power and torque than the stock transmission. All transmissions come with BD's heavy duty transmission pan. By design, OEM transmission Helical gears and engine torque thrusting causes stock plastic and Babbitt thrust washers to melt and break down contaminating lubrication oil and damaging solenoids. We remove the thrust washers and install roller bearings throughout the transmission which eliminates oil contamination, maintains tolerances, reduces heat and prevents premature solenoid failure. Total package includes auxiliary Full Flow Transmission Filter kit for added protection and cooling, BD Tapshifter lever, gear selection display, and, control module with fingertip shifting, full electronic gear selection, torque converter lock-up control, gear limiting function and a full manual gear mode. Comes with Billet Input Shaft to take the "snap" from rapid throttle and high horsepower. The Perfect combination for those installing the Triple Torque Force Converter.
